ClarX is a product by Clarigence (“we”, “us”). This policy covers our website clarxai.in and ClarX accounts. Paid plans and the connection between your account and the ClarX desktop app are not available yet. We will update this policy before they are.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your full name and email address. If you sign up with an email and password, your password is handled by our sign-in provider and stored only in scrambled (hashed) form. We never see it.
- If you use “Continue with Google”: Google shares your name, email address and profile picture link with us. We don’t get your Google password or access to your Gmail, contacts or files.
- Security and technical data: your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time, plus sign-in and security events (such as successful or failed logins). This helps us keep accounts safe and fix problems.
- Messages you send us, if you contact our team.
We don’t use advertising or analytics trackers on this website.
2. Why we use it
- To create your account, let you sign in and keep it secure.
- To send emails you need, such as confirming your email address or resetting your password.
- To answer your questions and give support.
- To prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
We use your data only for these purposes. We do not sell your personal data, and we don’t send marketing emails unless you choose to receive them.
3. Who helps us run ClarX
We use trusted service providers that handle data on our behalf, only to provide the service:
- Supabase: account sign-in and our database, hosted in Mumbai, India.
- Resend: sends account emails, such as confirmation and password reset.
- Hostinger: the server that runs our website.
- Google: only if you choose “Continue with Google”.
Some of these providers may process data outside India. We may also share data if the law requires it.
4. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in securely. Your browser also remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode. We don’t use advertising cookies.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account details while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except records we must keep by law (for example, billing records once paid plans exist). Technical logs are kept only for a short time and then automatically overwritten.
6. Your rights and choices
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct or update your data. You can edit your name in your dashboard under Security;
- ask us to delete your data. Use Request deletion review in your dashboard under Security, or contact us;
- withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account;
- raise a complaint with us. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Age
ClarX accounts are only for people aged 18 or older.
8. Keeping your data safe
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure sign-in, protected cookies and strict access checks. No online service can be 100% secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us if you notice anything unusual.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If the change is important, we’ll also tell you by email or on the website.
